Neiwan, one of the scenic place to be in when you are around Hsinchu. This is a place i've been when i was previously here in Taiwan, which is about 1 and half year back. So, when i got the chance to go back to Taiwan again, Neiwan surely be one of the place i would want to visit again. Surely enough, my first place to visit over the weekend was Neiwan but this time, we planned to go further ........... up.
From the motel, its just a mere 10 minutes walk to the train station and this is the best mode of transport to go there as we will be arriving at the door step of Neiwan itself when the train stops. Basically, the train has a one hour interval departure time and it only cost you TW$18 a way. This mode of transport also the best way as its more comfortable and it will only take you around 40 minutes to reach your destination.

Once you reach Neiwan, you will be greeted by stalls and tourists and not to mention........... pigs....unfortunately, one of them had been cooked.

Neiwan is located at the foot of a hill. The view from there is quite nice but to have an even better view of the hills around, you can always take a ride up to the peak. There are 2 areas for you to do so but which one is nicer? For me, i've only been to one of them but hope to comment more when i get the chance to go to another one.
Anyway, for this post, i can only explain a little bit about the one i went, which is Digital Sky, 数码天空 (Su Ma Tian Kong) while the one i did not go goes by the name of Lavender Cottage(薰衣草森林). In comparison, this place houses the highest building platform among those 2 places mentioned.
You can actually get a taxi up to any of the destination but i've heard that for Lavender Cottage, you can take the shuttle bus there instead although we did not really try it out.
Anyway, for Digital Sky, we call for a local cab to bring us up and the price was ok considering the journey we need to go through. TW$700 was the price for the whole car and thus, more people inside, the cheaper it will be.
The 40 minutes ride will take you through a very winding road, which is worse then going to Batu Feringgi in Penang. The road is narrowwer and in most cases, only one car can pass through.
When you arrive at the destination, you would need to pay TW$100 to enter and this ticket can be use as a coupon when you are inside to order drinks or food. Its basically to ensure that you go inside to spend something and not to hang around for free. I thought with TW$100, i would order a lot of stuff to eat and drink there but crapppppp.........with that amount, i can't even pay half the price of the cheapest drink in the menu. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures below:-
