Project #2 - Germany => Deutsches Museum

10th January 2009
Deutsches Museum is our destination this weekend and believe me, its big. It covers most of the technologies man has ever made. Its one of the biggest Museum in Europe as the building itself houses many planes and ships which i can say, that's not the only the things which were on display there. Well, getting there was pretty simple to say the least and you know why, because we have a local friend to get us around....and she is good in doing so. She was our best tour guide of the day as she shows us a lot of things as well as explain a lot of things to us. We really appreciate her help on this.

Generally, we boarded a train from Burghausen at around 7.44am and was heading towards Munich transiting at Muhldorf. When we reached Munich train station, we got off and off we go to another train and this time is rapid-transit that goes by the name of S-bahn. From there, we got off Isartor station and from there, its just about 5 minutes walk to the museum and you definately won't get lost walking there as they have sufficient road sign to bring you there.

Anyway, below are all the pictures taken during the journey there, so have fun ok.....

Old planes

Imagine how pround i am. Our very own Malaysia kite on display in foreign museum.

There are actually a lot more items on display but i can't possible show it all here. Even that, i barely take the picture of all the items. There are plans, submarines, ships, telephones, clock, aerospace, mining and many more. We were only possible to finish 80% of the whole place and do bear in mind, we just manage to skim through the items instead of really looking at it as that would be time consuming then. We were there for around 6 hours and we even have lunch inside.

We came out from the Museum at around 3.30pm and we proceed to take a good high tea rest at one of the cafe in Munich which serve coffee and cakes.

New City Hall at Marienplatz which was taken without the Christmas Market in front.

Apricot Cake with vanilla cream. EURO$5.20

By the time we got back, it was around 7 some thing in the evening. We took our dinner and head home for the day.
